The power and generosity of the web can be truly amazing.
Today if you want to give and help others or support a cause you can just go online and surfing and surfing you will surprisingly find a website whose aim is just to help charities. That's the Big Give.
5.000 charities are registered with it, on the screen there is a map of the globe, you can select and click on a continent or location, then choose a sector: music, culture, womankind, animals, third world to name a few and finally start being generous.
This virtual charity, born 14 month ago in the UK was created by Alec Reed, a 75 years old philanthropist already founder of a leading employement agency who, one day, decided to move from making money to giving it by building this website where soon charities as big as Oxfam were signed up free.
Trying to turn giving to proactive rather than reactive that's the project of Big Give. Hat off to it!
