What better time to draw your attention, dear reader of Londonrevue, to a novel that has been on the Sunday Times bestseller list in 2009 and came out in paperback last year. Sebastian Faulks 'A Week in December' is set in London in the week before Christmas 2007. Although purely fictional the string of characters make for an epic tale of urban life, all somehow entwined and together mirroring London life in all its aspects, scary, anonymous, a wild jungle, with financial sharks ready to throw the global banking system overboard, muslim fundamentalists ready to blow up innocent targets. And yet it is also a triumph of the capital, its multicultural and diverse community in the light of the still young 21st century.
Be enthralled and maybe you will identify yourself with one of the many characters, at the least you will have a deja-vu experience, because very likely you 'll have met an identical protagonist somewhere in London. Must read for true Londoners.
