Zaha Hadid has turned her talent to fashion, footwear in particular.
The British - Iraqui architect and designer, winner of the Pritzker Prize - the Nobel of Architecture - who had already previously designed a special model of rubber shoes for the Brazilian brand Melissa, now has collaborated to a limited edition pair of shoes for French sportswear Lacoste which has previewed the spring 2009 footwear at the Frieze Art Fair in London.
Among her recent works she has just collaborated and designed the furniture of the new modern area and the "space bar" for the club Home House in London, and as far as it concerns buildings has proposed the amazing project for the Abu Dhabi's performing arts centre.
Her shapes are sinuous with a sculptural tendency and space age style, therefore can be successfully be adopted and used in the glamorous territory of fashion.
